Sangria is a perfect drink paired with fruits. Pair it with richberry and you'll be surprised of the switch in taste from strong alcoholic flavour to yummier taste. You don't need sugar to enjoy this cocktail.

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups water

  • ¾ cup dried hibiscus petals

  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom

  • 2 (750 milliliter) bottles rose wine

  • ¾ cup brandy

  • ½ cup elderflower syrup

  • ¼ cup triple sec

  • ½ fresh pineapple - peeled, cored, and cut into chunks

  • 2 eaches Granny Smith apples, cut into chunks

  • 1 pint strawberries, cut into chunks

  • 2 oranges, cut into small chunks

  • 1 lemon, cut into small chunks

Directions:

Bring water, hibiscus petals, cinnamon sticks, and cardamom to a boil in a large pot. Remove from heat and allow to steep for 1 hour; strain. Stir wine, brandy, elderflower syrup, and triple sec into strained hibiscus water until sugar is dissolved. Add pineapple, apples, strawberries, oranges, and lemon. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

Mocktail (non-alcoholic): If you wish to have a delicious non-alcoholic version, please feel free to take the alcohol out and follow the same procedure.

Consume Miracle Berry: Just before digging in, chew 1 or more freeze-dried miracle berry (this can also be done during the preparation of ingredients). Ensure to remove pits to avoid a bitter taste.

Fact: The active ingredient miraculin from miracle berry will turn sour foods such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, non-fat yoghurt and other citrus food to taste sweet without adding sugar. We recommend two halves or 2 servings for maximum effectiveness. Make sure to follow instructions from the back of the packaging.

Warning: Alcohols are for over 21 years of age and above. Drink responsibly, do not drink and drive.
